How should a pulverizer be maintained

2024-08-08

Hydraulic pulverizers are efficient tools used in the demolition industry, mainly composed of a clamp body, hydraulic cylinder, movable jaw, and fixed jaw. They are driven by the power system of an excavator to crush objects such as reinforced concrete blocks. To ensure the long-term use and performance of hydraulic pulverizers, here are some maintenance suggestions:

1.Regular Inspection: After every 100 to 150 hours of work, inspect the teeth of the hydraulic pulverizer and, if necessary, add wear-resistant welding rods to the teeth to increase their durability.

2.Proper Use of Blades: Blades are mainly used for cutting rebar and should not be used to cut concrete or other materials beyond their cutting range to avoid wear or damage.

3.Replacement of Parts: Some parts of the hydraulic pulverizer, such as the piston rod front cover, pin shaft, oil pipe connectors, etc., are prone to damage and should be replaced as needed. Check hydraulic seals and replace them every 600 hours.

4.Hydraulic System Maintenance: Check whether the bolts of the hydraulic system are loose, whether the connecting pin shafts are worn, whether the oil cylinder gap is normal, and whether there is any oil leakage or abnormal extension and retraction. If abnormalities are found, the seals should be replaced by professionals in a timely manner.

5.Correct Installation: When installing the hydraulic pulverizer, ensure that its connection with the excavator is correct, and the connection of the hydraulic oil pipes is correct to avoid incorrect connections.

6.Operational Precautions: When operating the hydraulic pulverizer, follow the operation manual, check whether the bolts and connectors are loose, whether there is a leak in the hydraulic pipeline, and whether the pressure and flow of the hydraulic system meet the technical parameters required.

7.Temperature Control: The optimal working temperature for hydraulic oil is 50-60 degrees Celsius, and it should not exceed 80 degrees Celsius to avoid overheating that affects the performance of the equipment.

By following these maintenance methods, you can extend the service life of the hydraulic pulverizer and maintain its high efficiency.
